Dani Molino is a Spanish born singer-songwriter and guitarist whose music is being described as an Americana-tinged folk alt-rock wonder-tunes to both get your feet stomping and wrench your heart apart.

Since his childhood, he was constantly listening to artist such as Bruce Springsteen, Creedence Clearwater or Dire Straits, thanks to the fact that his parents were always listening to them from road trips to every day situation. As a result those artists became a huge influence to Dani and an important piece of his childhood.

As a teenager, Dani started listening other bands like AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses and specially Metallica. The latest, even though far from Dani’s current style, influenced him in such a manner that he became fond of the electric guitar. Furthermore, Metallica was such an influence to him, that he used their riffs and harmony to learn how to play the guitar.
It wasn’t until later in his life that he formed his first, Mellow and Orion. Playing as the lead guitarist, this was where he met the bassist Nacho Alvarez, with whom he formed his next band, Oil on Canvas. By the time he was playing in his second band, his musical influence had another turn around and he started to listen to Red hot Chilli Peppers and Incubus. However, this band was short lived as he decided to change once again his styles of composition to his childhood heroes.

This represented a turning point in Dani’s musical career. From this moment Dani started writing songs in a more Folkie-Rock style, doing acoustic gigs around Madrid without any band. A year later he decided to go to Ireland to finish his last-year of degree. In 2005 Dani went to Limerick, Ireland, where he had the chance of playing at several venues and discover new music, such as The Frames, who influenced him tremendously on the energy and the purity of Glenn Hansard’s songs.
In 2010 Dani went to London in order to study an MA in Record Production so that he could self-produce his compositions. During this time he met his current band mates Damien Thill (Drums), Inga Eichla (Bass) and Rogerio Bamman (Guitar) with whom he has played at several venues in London such as The Music Hall, The Cobden Club or more recently, the famous Troubadour where Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix played in Europe for the first time.
As a result of this year in London, Dani has released recently his debut EP called “The Homestead Sessions”, as a reference to the street where Dani lives in London and where he has composed most of the songs included in that album.

He has been recently described as “An Acoustic troubadour to set the heart racing” by the Exposure Music Awards and his music sounds like a new Nick Drake who had returned to life with an opportunity to sing about life, love, joy and depression with a shot of pure energy and honesty.
